Sip the Tea and Find the truth

From the Pits of Hell to a Place of Hope

To anyone suffering in the here and now, I have some good news for you: these days will pass. You will look back on this time and say, “What a trial that was!” I know this because I have been there. I was at a point of suicide, with a path that looked gloomy and doomed. All the chips and cards were stacked against me, and I was so eager to throw in the towel.

Over and over, I would get back up and clean myself off, only to have the very people I did it for turn on me. Trust me when I tell you I have seen the pits of hell on earth. I had everything taken from me—my children, my belongings, my sense of pride and dignity. I was so beyond lost to this world that I was deemed un-rehabilitatable and put on 14 different medications at one point. The world had left me broken and useless. This was a recurring theme in my life.

This is where things get interesting. I came back from it all, and I’ve come back to try and deliver you from seeing such things yourself. Your story doesn’t have to end in those dark pits. You can get through this, and you can come out stronger on the other side.

He Was With Me Every Step

I didn’t walk through those trials alone. He was with me every step of the way. He saw the things this world did to me. He saw and still sees the way they treated me. He heard what they spoke and what they still speak of me. All of this I went through, all of this I was put through, and He was there suffering with me.

I didn’t know it then, but He was the one carrying me through it all. He didn’t care about the stains, the cuts, the bruises, the brokenness, or the shame I carried. He rejoiced every time I made it out. I was alive and I still had a chance to be saved, to be redeemed, and to be used for the glory of His kingdom.

Redemption Was Always His Plan

Redemption was always His plan. What the world does to us is not a part of His plan, but He uses all things for good. He suffers when we suffer. Even in my darkest moments, He was there, turning my pain into a purpose. He is a God of love, and what this world did to me was not from Him, but what He did for me was. He is waiting to do the same for you.

For you are a child of God and you were created on purpose for a purpose. He will not let the devil keep what is rightfully His.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28 (NIV)

A Prayer for You

Because I was them, I am them, and I have been redeemed, I pray this for you:

Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up the one reading these words. They have carried burdens and faced trials that feel overwhelming and impossible. I ask that You wrap Your loving arms around them and let them feel Your presence. Shine Your light into the darkness they are walking through. Let them know they are not forgotten and they are not alone. Thank You for Your promise that You work all things for good. I pray that You turn their pain into purpose and their brokenness into beauty.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
