What profession do you admire most and why?
I’ve been asked what profession I admire most, and my answer might surprise some, especially in a world that often values tangible success and material gain. I deeply admire pastors, and the reasons go to the very core of what it means to be human.Where doctors tend to the flesh, healing our physical wounds and curing our ailments. Pastors are called to something far more profound. They take an oath not just to a person or an organization, but directly with God. Their mission is to shepherd souls, to guide those who are lost, and to help usher in a new life, no matter how stained a person’s past may be.This isn’t a job you clock out of. It’s a divine duty that extends beyond this world. A pastor’s work isn’t just for this lifetime; it’s a legacy carried into the next realm. They tend to our spiritual well-being, offering guidance, hope, and healing for the part of us that lives on forever. In a sense, they are doctors for the eternal soul. But it goes even deeper than that. There’s no other profession where someone voluntarily takes on the burden of another’s sins, weeping and praying for a soul as if it were their own. They willingly embrace this heavy responsibility, choosing this path when so many others were available to them. For that immense faith, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to a purpose that transcends the everyday I have the deepest respect and admiration for.
