Sip the Tea and Find the truth

It is Grace.

What is the most important thing to carry with you all the time?

In a world that often measures us by what we produce, what we achieve, or what we carry, the most important thing we can hold onto is something we can neither earn nor buy. It is grace. It is the essential, invisible possession that truly gives us life.We are so often reminded of the call to give grace. The Lord instructs us to forgive others as He has forgiven us, to love our enemies, and to show kindness to the undeserving. To give grace is to consciously choose compassion over judgment, and mercy over a demand for justice. It means looking at someone who has hurt us and remembering that we, too, have needed undeserved kindness. We are called to be conduits of this divine gift, to pour it out freely upon a world desperately in need of it.But you have pointed to an equally vital truth: grace is just as important to receive. This is often the harder part. It requires a humility that allows us to accept a gift we know we don’t deserve. We must let go of the shame of our past and the weight of our failures. It means accepting that our redemption is not a prize we won, but a gift we were given. To receive grace is to open our hands and our hearts to the forgiveness that Christ offers, letting go of our pride and our need to “fix” our own mistakes. The Lord does indeed remind us that this grace is not an endpoint, but the very beginning. It is the starting point for everything that follows. * Grace is the start of faith. It is the unearned love of God that first draws us to Him. We don’t believe because we are good enough; we believe because His goodness is shown to us through His Son. * Grace is the start of redemption. It is the act of being saved from our sins, not by our own works, but through the sacrifice of Christ. We are redeemed because grace made it possible, not because we earned our freedom. * Grace is the start of salvation. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. This scripture is a cornerstone of our faith. It tells us that our salvation is not a reward for our efforts but a free gift from a loving God.So, as we go about our day, let us not only seek to extend grace to others, but let us also pause to receive it for ourselves. For in both giving and receiving, we acknowledge the true foundation of our faith and carry with us the most valuable possession of all.
